Meet school needs of their children assist in payments for school projects in industrial arts and science and buy additional books for their school needs. CDP children were assisted also in their school activities such as school field trips and occasional convocations.

Greetings from the staff

Dear Sponsors,

     Greetings from Paranaque!

I would like to thank you for sponsoring 146 children in 3 barangays of Paranaque city. These barangays served are mostly with marginalized and depressed families with in the industrialized zone of the city. Added to economic depravity, these communities are victims of drug addiction, petty crimes, alcoholism and other vices.

FHI Philippines is in partnership with Church of the Savior United Methodist. Networks were established with both government and non-governmental organizations in the communities we work with. FHI CDP staff collaborates with the leaders of the area to address the specific and known concerns and problems of the community.

The year 1999 has been a blessed year for us in spite of the economic crises. God's faithfulness remains and His grace abounds, more so if there are generous people like you who is willing to give for a good cause. As a CDP staff I experience living with the people in the community and discovered for myself their changed lives through our CDP program. Your Sponsorship has given our people new hope and aspiration that they can have a bright future. I reiterate my gratitude for helping the less fortunate in the communities of Paranaque, Metro Manila.

You are remembered especially in our prayers. May our gracious Lord continue to bless you as you shared your blessings to us here in the Philippines.

In Christ,

Vivian Lulu
