CDP Education Program
Education in the Philippines is becoming costly. Even in Government run schools, parents have to pay for their children’s tuition fees and to provide for their school needs (e.g. school bag, uniforms, notebooks, pencils etc.)
Child Development Program helped parents to pay for school tuition fees. Meet school needs of their children, cover payment for school projects like carpentry, handicrafts, etc., provide books of children and help CDP children engaged in school activities such as school field trips, Camps and occasional programs.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS TO DATE:
-
124 CDP children access to primary education and 31 access to secondary education.
-
Of the 155 sponsored children, 10 children graduated in grade school and 2 children in secondary education.
-

Greetings from the staff

Dear Sponsors,
Warmest greetings !
I would like to thank you for sponsoring 155 children in the area of Fairview. Fairview is one of the District of Quezon City. Barangay Holy Spirit and Republic are two of the poorest barangays in Fairview assisted by FHI/Philippines through the Child Development Program (CDP).
FHI/Philippines is in partnership with 2 Christian churches in the area with the aim of ministering to the whole needs of the individual and families in the communities we work with.
The year 1999 has been a year of blessing in spite of the economic crisis, problems and calamities in the country. The poor is the one who suffers most. But thanks be to God because there are people like you who cares.
This is to let you know that your support is not in vein. As a staff, I been seeing lives changed and empowered.
I reiterate my gratitude. May the Lord be the one to bless you.
Sincerely,
Flor Basilan
