Community Involvement
Food for the Hungry
International/Philippines helps communities where sponsored children live.
Community residents, leaders and churches were encourage and motivated to
participate in solving the identified needs and problems of the community.
For the previous years, FHI/Philippines helped implement programs such as
Empowering Leaders for Health, water sealed toilet project, Deep-well
Construction, Distribution of Water Container and doing other community
projects through teams and work camps. Since
1992, we have established good relationship with World Community Services Rotary
International District 2660. The first project initiated by them is the Small
Loan for Livelihood Project (SLLP). Since then, Rotary has been an active
partner of FHI/Philippines in funding various community development projects.
