CDP 1st National Bible Quiz 2004

CDP 1st National Bible Quiz 2004. In line with the 26^th Anniversary celebration of FHI Philippines, the 1^st National Bible Quiz contest was launched in partnership with the Philippine Bible Society and Book of Hope.The contest was divided into two divisions Elementary and High School, participated in by all CDP children of the various CDP centers. Selection of children in the final round was made after conducting a series of eliminations.

The final round of the contest was held last November 13, 2004 at the Student Center of Central United Methodist Church There were 32 finalist in the Elementary Division and 30 in Hg School category.

Judges of the contest were Mrs. Nora Lucero-Executive Director of the Philippine Bible Society; Mrs. Angie Tud, Trainor and staff Book of Hope; Mrs. Perla Cenon, President FHI Philippines Inc. Board, Ms. Mary Ann Sabaco, FHI/Phil. Admin and Finance Manager and Mrs. Debbie Toribio, Country Director FHI Philippines.

Winners in the Elementary Division are the following:

First Prize: Bernadith Baldo

Second Prize-Noriel Formarejo

CDP Center 020 – Los Banos, Laguna

Winners in the High School Division the winners

First Prize: Mary Glory Maurat

CDP Center 012-Tondo, Manila

Second Prize: Romualdo Alcachupas

CDP Center 020- Los Banos, Laguna.

First prize winners received cash gift of P2,500 each and certificate of recognition while the second prize winners received a cash gift of P 1,000.00 each and a certificate

Let us praise and thank God! The National Bible Quiz contest was a tremendous success. What a joy to see CDP children seriously studying the Word of God, memorizing verses and sharing these with their families and friends.

With God’s help, FHI hopes to include this in our regular program of activity every year.
