Updates   Silas James Newell was born on November 22, 2006 weighing in at 7 lbs, 12 oz.  He is rapidly growing and enjoying life.   Lily will be 2 years old on February 16th and is enjoying being a big sister to Silas.    Pete continues to be a full time graduate student studying engineering, water resources at Arizona State University.   He is also working as a research assistant to a professor and is learning a lot about water issues in Arizona.   We continue to attend Crossroads Christian Fellowship, a wonderful Mennonite church that is full of authentic believers who are living out their faith.   We feel very blessed by the Lord to be a part of such an awesome body.  Pete is enjoying teaching a young adult Sunday school class. Lori, Lily and now Silas visit a nearby nursing home every week to hopefully put some smiles on some faces.  It's more of a challenge with 2 little ones, but we know that it's worth it.

Continue praying for wisdom as we are parents to Lily and Silas.  We need the Lord's guidance as we teach, love and discipline. Please pray for guidance and wisdom for Pete as he works through his studies and learns about the opportunities that are awaiting him after he is done with his coursework.   Please pray for us as we live out our faith in downtown Phoenix, specifically in our neighborhood.  Pray for open doors with our neighbors and perseverance for us to continue reaching out.
