~ April ~

Yep!!  This is our jeep all fixed up!   Our mechanic made a deal with us:  he fixed it up with his money, bought it from us, and then loaned it to us for as long as we needed it.   Pretty good deal, huh?!  The only part we weren't real excited about was the color he decided to paint it.  It was a cross between red and orange.

One week in April was filled with loads of excitement for us in our small valley.   FH had the inauguration for the huge canal project that was finished last year after 7 years of working on it.  They invited many people to come, including the US Ambassador to Bolivia who is standing in the middle of this group.  Can you find Lori and Pete?  (kind of like Where's Waldo?)

During that same week we had the annual Sunday school party which was awesome!   Many of the parents came to hear what their children had been learning during the past year and the kids did an awesome job sharing their memory verses and songs with their parents.
The schoolroom was packed with students and their parents.   The Gospel was presented that day through a skit done by Pete and our friend Rene and we pray that many heard the message, understood, and seeds were planted.

A group shot.  About 80 kids came that day along with their parents.
The other big excitedment that same week was hosting these two men, Adam and Caio from New York City.  They are professional videographers who were contracted by FH to make a video for fundraising purposes.  We had fun hosting them in our home and helping them out with the video.  It was quite an experience to say the least, and we were exhausted at the end of that week.

After the hectic week hosting the two video guys and having the annual Sunday school party, we took a break and headed to Chile for a week where we met up with Pete's brother Ben.  We spent a couple of nights in the country's capital city, Santiago.
This vacation was just what we needed and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing at the beach and in the mountains.
This was a sight we hadn't seen in a long time since we live in a valley: a sunset.     It was wonderful soaking in the sunset at the ocean.

The mountains were also gorgeous and we enjoyed riding bikes one day through God's beautiful creation. (Lori and Ben)
